THE CHALLENGE
The teaching staff was not knowledgeable on how to best use Smart Amp to enhance learner retention.
Software was purchased with one training session when first implemented with no follow up training opportunities.
The teaching staff did not use Smart Amp.
The students were missing out on the opportunity to become creators in the classroom due to technology use concerns, such as internet safety when researching.
Teachers did not have time to self-learn the application and teach their students.
THE SOLUTION
A scalable curriculum guide was created to allow for incremental learning opportunities with actionable challenges to be completed in between workshop sessions.
The synchronous in-person workshops can be hosted back-to-back across six consecutive days at a fast pace or across six consecutive weeks for a slower pace.
At the end of each workshop, the learners are tasked to analyze their lesson plans and incorporate the newly learned skills creatively within their own classrooms.
At the start of every workshop, the learners share their innovative implementations of the new skills inspiring one another.
THE RESULTS
Improved awareness regarding the uses of Smart Amp software.
A Smart Amp representative, impressed with this curriculum guide, requested a copy of this plan to be shared within SMART technologies.
